Happy Women’s Day from OVERSEE – your very own Point of Sale Software System provider.

March 8th is celebrated as Women’s Day across the world. This day, every year marks a special day for women worldwide. For more than a century, IWD, arising out of its labour movement, became an internationally recognised event by the UN, thanks to Clara Zetkin. In 1908, 15,000 women marched through New York City, demanding better pay, the right to vote and shorter working hours. After a year, the Socialist Party of America declared the inaugural National Women’s Day. Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland were the first to celebrate IWD in 1911. The occasion is meant to mark the progression of women in politics, society and economics, and to raise awareness against inequality.

While many women entrepreneurs across various fields are renowned for their achievements, we seldom discuss the woman’s presence in technology. OVERSEE believes in the power of equality and diversity and brings some of the most powerful women in tech that we should remember today!
